Soccer
Soccer is played in just about every country in the world. The sport’s success is due to the fact that it can be played by boys, girls, men and women of just about any physical build and ability. Soccer requires little in the way of specialized equipment and is organized using simple, intuitive rules. The object of the game is to score goals by kicking or heading the ball into the opponents’ net.

We acknowledge that our Special Olympics Ontario community is located on/in the traditional territory of the Anishinabek, Huron-Wendat, Haudenosaunee and Ojibway/Chippewa peoples; the land that is home to the Metis; and most recently, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation who are direct descendants of the Mississaugas of the Credit. We also acknowledge that Brampton resides within Treaty 19 (1818).
Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work, live and play on this land.
